At Regions, the Corporate Banking Group Business Growth Strategy Partner drives organizational growth by identifying, solving, and providing thought partnership for specific management topics focused on sales and growth of the business segment. The Corporate Banking Business Strategy Partner oversees development, collaboration, and execution of data-driven strategic plans, demonstrating deep understanding of the segment, go-to-market approach, growth objectives, culture, competition, and risks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently identifies and resolves gaps in sales operations by using relevant data to deliver tools and resources needed to improve business development objectives, relationship management practices, sales effectiveness, performance, and productivity

  • Delivers, maintains, and executes sales enablement strategies, projects, product backlogs / roadmaps, and ongoing programs

  • Focuses on shortening sales cycle and increasing sales success by implementing solutions centered on lead generation, client development, prospecting, and pitching

  • Acts as primary coordination point for sales enablement and sales operations capabilities to set priorities, milestones, and expectations of value delivered for the business segment and across-enterprise partners

  • Serves as a change agent to influence decision-making with the business segment and enterprise, working closely with Digital, Data & Analytics, Marketing, and Communications

  • Coaches team leaders and associates on effective sales execution practices that contribute to overall sales productivity and success, including facilitation of training sessions and coordination of communication materials

  • Develops and leads working groups across the business segment and enterprise to understand needs, drive tight collaboration, and align to organizational growth goals

  • Leads the creation and delivery of annual strategic plans for assigned business segment, owning the execution of strategic planning framework and process

  • Defines and builds transformative strategic plans and business cases for senior leaders of assigned business segment, owning execution of the business case framework to outline goals, strategy, and initiatives

  • Partners with assigned senior leaders to develop impactful presentations, analysis, and key visuals for use in internal and external settings

  • Partners with Data & Analytics, Regions 360, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources to address broader elements of enablement, overall team performance, onboarding new associates, and marketing opportunity

  • Integrates risk monitoring and governance into practices and makes sound risk decisions commensurate with the business segment's risk appetite and compliance program requirements

  • May leverage knowledge and experience to provide guidance on best practices to team members with less experience

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Eight (8) years of experience in financial services or related industry

  • Five (5) years of related experience in analytics, strategy, communications, digital, sales process, experience, or sales enablement

  • Three (3) years of experience in a relationship-oriented client-centric business unit

Preferences

  • Background with commercial, corporate, treasury management, or capital markets with strong understanding of end-to-end sales process

  • Direct experience developing strategic plans, executing transformation initiatives, and crafting high-caliber communications/presentations

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Economics or Finance

  • Certifications in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Six Sigma, Business Architecture, or related disciplines

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum:

$108,422.60 USD

50th Percentile:

$150,750.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
