We are seeking a Principal Consultant with expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to lead implementations and apply optimization tactics between data, personalization and engagement. This role requires deep technical knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and hands-on experience designing, deploying, and refining cross-channel personalized journeys. The Principal will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the organization, including sales, staffing, and management. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive business growth, manage a diverse team, and ensure the highest standards of performance and productivity. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to define requirements, integrate data sources, and enhance customer experiences through real-time personalization and orchestration.

What You’ll Do

  • Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies. Lead sales pursuits, set targets, and monitor performance. Write SOWs for end-to-end implementations of AJO including solution design, configuration, and optimization.
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Oversee recruitment to attract and retain talent. Ensure staffing levels meet business needs and employees are onboarded and trained.
  • Management: Provide direction to the management team. Ensure departments align with organizational goals. Monitor and evaluate managers and their teams. Conduct workshops and training for internal teams on AJO capabilities, analytics, and journey orchestration best practices.
  • Grow and maintain professional certifications. Ensure that team members are up to date on certification and training to maintain Adobe Partner specialty status.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans. Identify growth opportunities and implement initiatives within the Orchestration space.
  • Partner with clients to define use cases, customer journey strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients maximize their investment in AJO and AEP.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in marketing automation, customer journey orchestration, or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in marketing automation including Marketo, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
  • Experience working on large-scale customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance regulations, and security best practices.
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability lead in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong client management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior consultants in AEP/AJO best practices.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting client needs.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on the latest Adobe innovations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Adobe Certified Expert certification in marketing automation platforms preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is Principal for this position is $122,000 to $225,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
