What You’ll Do

  • Lead supply chain strategy and transformation initiatives for clients in the healthcare and life sciences (HLS) sectors, including providers, payers, pharmaceuticals, medtech, and biotech organizations.
  • Assess and optimize supply chain operations across procurement, planning, manufacturing, distribution, and inventory with a focus on cost reduction, service level improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with client executives to design future-state supply chain models that align with clinical, commercial, and operational priorities across the value chain.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance resiliency, visibility, and digital enablement, including adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and sustainability practices.
  • Create industry-specific methodologies and tools tailored to HLS supply chains, such as demand planning frameworks, cold chain logistics solutions, and supplier risk management playbooks.
  • Contribute to go-to-market (GTM) efforts for HLS supply chain offerings, including thought leadership, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, helping to grow the firm’s HLS supply chain capabilities and market presence.
  • Travel requirement: ~25% depending on project needs

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain strategy or operations, with a strong focus on the healthcare and/or life sciences industries.
  • Deep functional knowledge in areas such as sourcing, clinical supply chain, cold chain logistics, regulatory-driven inventory management, or demand/supply planning in HLS contexts.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results through supply chain optimization and transformation in highly regulated, quality-sensitive environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including experience with supply chain cost modeling, network optimization, and service level analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, HIPAA), quality systems, and compliance requirements in healthcare and life sciences supply chains.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, or specialized solutions like LIMS, MES, and serialization platforms.
  • Bonus points for experience in digital supply chain initiatives (e.g., AI/ML forecasting, control towers), value-based care models, or pharma commercialization supply support.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Principal role, the base salary pay range is $122,000- $225,000. For this position at the Sr. Principal level the base salary pay range is $140,000 -$258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
