As a Sales Director focused on the FinTech sector in NorCal, you will be responsible for aggressively growing Slalom’s presence across the FinTech ecosystem. You will identify and close new client opportunities, bring a hunter’s mentality to breaking into net-new accounts, and drive revenue through consultative, solutions-based selling. You will collaborate with internal consulting teams to bring forward Slalom’s full capabilities in ways that align with the evolving needs of FinTech buyers.

Compensation And Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $174,000 to $278,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You’ll Do
- Actively hunt for and close new business within the FinTech sector, using a proactive, relentless approach to open doors and build relationships from scratch
- Own the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation to deal close—for net-new FinTech accounts with a focus on high-value consulting and solution work
- Drive revenue growth through consultative, value-based sales, aligning Slalom’s capabilities to the strategic and operational needs of FinTech clients
- Develop and execute tailored go-to-market plans that support aggressive territory growth and build pipeline with the right buyers and opportunities
- Build strong relationships with senior-level decision makers in product, technology, operations, and data functions
- Partner with internal Slalom consulting teams to design and scope solutions that deliver business impact and set up engagements for success
- Bring a disciplined, metrics-driven mindset to forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM hygiene
- Contribute to account transition and onboarding plans once deals are closed, ensuring continuity, quality, and long-term relationship health
- A hunter’s mentality—someone who thrives on opening doors, creating new relationships, and closing complex consulting deals in competitive environments
- Proven success selling professional services or solutions into FinTech companies, with a track record of consistently exceeding quotas or revenue targets
- Deep understanding of the FinTech landscape, including startup, scale-up, and enterprise-level environments and their evolving technology and operational priorities
- Experience leading multi-stakeholder sales processes and navigating complex, non-linear buying cycles
- Ability to position and sell a range of consulting services, including digital transformation, cloud, data, AI, product strategy, and organizational effectiveness
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with executive presence and high emotional intelligence
- Disciplined approach to sales operations, including pipeline hygiene, opportunity strategy, and sales stage progression
- Local presence in the Bay Area with flexibility to travel to client sites and Slalom offices on a hybrid schedule
