Location: This is a hybrid role located in Chicago, Illinois OR Indianapolis, Indiana. The role may require occasional travel between Chicago and Indianapolis.

What You’ll Do
As a Client Partner Director in our Public and Social Impact Portfolio, you will serve as a key driver of Public & Social Impact portfolio growth within our MidAmerica region. Our Client Partners play a crucial role in nurturing relationships within and across our Public Sector accounts, as well as managing the successful outcomes of ongoing Delivery Programs. Compensation And Benefits

For this position at the Director level the base salary pay range is $161,000 to $258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to chance and may be modified at any time.

What You’ll Do
As a Client Partner Director in our Public and Social Impact Portfolio, you will serve as a key driver of Public & Social Impact portfolio growth within our MidAmerica region. Our Client Partners play a crucial role in nurturing relationships within and across our Public Sector accounts, as well as managing the successful outcomes of ongoing Delivery Programs. Other aspects of the role include:
- Managing the profitability / growth of assigned accounts (State of Indiana and State of Illinois) within our Public & Social Impact portfolio (revenue & utilization goals)
- Identifying opportunities for growth/maturation of Slalom offerings and setting the direction for that growth.
- Accountability for project quality, including delivery of work, staffing teams and monitoring utilization.
- Providing oversight and governance of all sold/managed engagements
- Driving business development efforts with the proper information (creation of SOW, RFP responses), tools and subject matter expertise to sell engagements within the vertical.
- Maintaining awareness of industry best practices and understanding how Slalom capabilities interact.
- Partnering with your client(s) to influence strategic direction and identify ways Slalom can help them achieve business objectives.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the consulting industry. Experience growing accounts and delivering on projects.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of state and local government operations.
- Possesses deep familiarity with both Indiana and Illinois, with a strategic focus on Indiana.
- Brings valuable relationships, budget insights, and policy understanding specific to the region.
- Proactive and market-oriented—translates government expertise into actionable go-to-market strategies.
- Skilled at navigating the complexities of government contracting and procurement processes.
- A collaborative team player who readily contributes across all areas of the public sector.
- Capable of partnering with lobbyists to identify and convert new opportunities into tangible wins.
- Delivers results and maintains accountability across government programs and initiatives.
- Understands the high-level technology partner ecosystem in Indiana and how to leverage it.
- Quick to learn and highly motivated to drive measurable outcomes.
- Takes ownership, thinks creatively, and strategically positions Slalom’s services within the government space.
