Slalom seeks a dynamic Atlanta-based Client Partner to make a local impact and grow our Financial Services & Insurance client portfolio. You will work closely with capability leaders and other markets to collectively establish Slalom as the “go-to” consulting partner for transformation projects across business and technology. The Client Partner will engage with colleagues throughout Slalom to introduce thought leadership, create winning proposals, and deliver superlative work, thereby growing Slalom’s consulting footprint with existing customers and opening doors to new ones. This leader will also deliver solutions that enhance our transformation story and build on our strong foundation with our current strategic & emerging partners.

Client Partner – Financial Services & Insurance (FSI)

What You’ll Do

Client Partners are closely engaged with their clients. They understand their client’s strategies and objectives, environment, and industry. Our Client Partners proactively identify opportunities to help clients meet their objectives and to address challenges and constraints leveraging Slalom services and offerings. They are highly aware of the delivery work in which Slalom is engaged and work with the team to drive excellent delivery, and, as a leader in the market, they ensure we exemplify Slalom's core values in our delivery and interactions with clients, recruits, and the overall market.

  • Bring to life our vision that "we accelerate the growth and innovation-at-scale of technology companies, becoming their trusted consulting partner of choice via our thought leadership and ability to consistently drive business outcomes."
  • Client Management:
    • Industry Experience: Expertise, passion, and thought leadership about the compelling events driving transformation in the FSI industry. Ability to apply industry issues within a client setting and have a thoughtful point of view.
    • Client Relationships: Has worked closely with Sales Executives, Capability Leads and Delivery Leaders to cultivate relationships at the EVP/C-level. Has managed escalations and worked ahead at the C-level, preventing surprises and mitigating risk when issues arise. Has trained and supported others in key operations functions.
    • Portfolio Management: Has collaborated with Sales Executives to create an account plan at a high complexity, multi-market account.
    • Engagement Management: Has identified opportunities to engage SMEs to assist with or augment project delivery. Has helped to drive thought leadership around improving transformational customer love scores.
    • Drive for Results: Exhibits a relentless drive to realize goals and deliver excellent outcomes across complex engagements. Responds to critical escalated issues, resolves competing priorities, and drives alignment across teams. Maintains oversight of work and deliverables to ensure client value.
  • Account Leadership:
    • Business Development: Has driven proposals and partners with Pursuit Teams to develop and execute on sales strategy. Has consistently led the successful negotiation and closing of opportunities.
    • Financial Management: Has an understanding of nuances and differences from running operations at multiple accounts. Has experience knowing common approaches to working with procurement organizations and the inherent differences in procurement across various client sizes and maturity.
  • Georgia & Alabama Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Strategy: In close collaboration with local market leaders, aligns global account and local market strategies.
    • Practice Collaboration: Works collaboratively with Slalom practices to define service offerings that meet technology and industry needs, and then brings those offerings to-market, and ultimately deliver capabilities through project work.
    • Public Relations: Promotes Slalom in the market by attending / speaking at industry events, panels, etc.
What you’ll bring

Professional Experience

  • 10+ years of Financial Services leadership experience within consulting with client management/leadership

Consulting Experience

  • Experience managing transformational programs that incorporate people, processes, and technology.
  • The ability to effectively balance business development, contracting/negotiating, solutioning, client engagement, delivery excellence enablement, operations/financial management and team/people management all in a single role.
  • Relevant experience managing to utilization targets.
  • Hands-on contract negotiation experience with NDA’s, MSA’s, & SOW’s.
  • Experience leading teams, building community, and helping grow and expand a client portfolio.
  • Experience managing the performance of individual consultants, either direct reports and/or as members of project team.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Atlanta-based network within various Financial Services segments and clients.
  • Superlative writing skills & deep experience with creating highly polished content for client executives.
  • Deep experience with oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all sold/managed engagements.
  • Maintains awareness of industry best practices and business levers for a particular client list.

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
