Job Title: Telecommunications - Client Partner
Slalom's Georgia/Alabama market is seeking a leader at the Senior Principal level to join the Telecom account team and continue growing the account. This role requires collaboration with our media and communications industry team, alliances teams, other media and communication account teams, and our capability teams to bring and deliver relevant solutions to our customers. Prior cable experience is a must with preference specifically given for prior experience in network reliability and OSS.
What You’ll Do
This client partner will be responsible for providing input into, and implementing the account strategy for Cox, with a specific focus on network reliability and reliability tools. Working with industry and capability teams, the client partner is responsible for bringing relevant solutions that reduces costs, improves efficiencies and/or increases revenue for the client.
Business Development: Identify new clients and business opportunities for Slalom. Maintain existing client relationships. Work collaboratively with capability and industry leaders to create and present relevant solutions and responses to RFx to our clients by providing relevant context about client/organization/industry challenges as well as any budget considerations.
Contract Management and Negotiation: Work with Slalom capability and industry leaders to create statements of work and change orders. As necessary, negotiate with the client procurement teams while protecting Slalom business interests.
Account Planning: Responsible for developing account strategy for defined focus area(s) that includes, assessment of current state, business challenges, competitors, alliances, big plays and how the big plays will be tactically executed. Determine key roles and identify Slalom team members best suited to take on those team roles in order grow the focus area. Provide input into the greater account strategy by sharing relevant organizational information with the rest of the account team.
Client Relationship Management: Build trusted-advisor relationships with our clients and stakeholders and grow Slalom’s overall brand.
Delivery and Delivery Management: Deliver high-impact, and complex initiatives for our clients. Provide oversight for Slalom initiatives to ensure deliverables meet client requirements and our standard for delivery excellence. As needed work with internal Slalom team and client stakeholders to remove any blockers for team’s success. Serve as the first point of escalation from a client if there are delivery and/or personnel issues. Track and manage budget, forecasts, invoicing, revenue (including any underage or overage against limit) and margin for focus area engagements.
People Leadership: Empower teams and cultivate consultant growth through coaching and mentoring. Provide feedback to team members and their people leaders so team members have clear growth targets. Foster an environment where team members feel supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their best.

What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of team leadership experience in a combination of a consulting environment and industry environments
- Prior experience working within the cable industry, preferably within network reliability and reliability enablement tools, cable digital products
- 8+ years experience working with complex, modern technology and data projects
- Sales, account management, delivery, and consulting experience
- Proven ability to achieve/exceed sales targets
- Demonstrated interest and passion about network / cable initiatives and enabling capabilities
- Existing relationships with cable clients in Atlanta
- 10+ years of experience in senior project management or program management roles spanning multiple workstreams/delivery teams on complex engagements
- Ability to partner with clients to understand their organizational needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experienced and at aligning teams to work toward a common goal; consistently demonstrates strong people management skills
- 5+ years of coaching and mentoring experience
- Excellent collaboration and team-building skills
- Strong process orientation coupled with an ability to work with virtual / geographically dispersed teams
- Expert verbal and written communication skills, particularly around proposal development and oral presentations
- Ability to meet deadlines often with very tight timeframes
- Proven ability to use data to drive insights
