Data Protection Analyst (Project Employee)
So, what will I do?
- Lead and support data governance and data strategy initiatives
- Ability to clearly communicate technical details to business and management personnel
- Lead and support initiatives focused on securing enterprise data using Microsoft Azure Data Protection Services.
- Design and implement data protection strategies using Azure-native tools such as Azure Information Protection, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
- Monitor and report on data protection metrics, incidents, and remediation efforts.
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for Azure deployments.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on secure data handling practices.
- Provide Data Governance and Data Management best practice to the client and lead them through their data transformation journey
- Provide expertise on analysis, architecture, design and development of Data Governance software solutions
- Assist in shaping and executing data governance activities, including building and refining processes and frameworks.
- Develop high-quality presentation decks and documentation for internal leaders and executives to support project rollouts and executive communications.
- Collaborate with an established project team and leverage internal resources as needed
- 3+ years of experience in Management Consulting and/or Advisory related consulting engagements for Enterprise Data Management, Data Governance initiatives, cloud security, and/or data protection roles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Protection Services, including Azure Purview, Azure Information Protection, and Azure Security Center
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and encryption standards.
- Keen sense and knowledge in market-leading and emerging Data Management and Data Governance technologies
- No requirement for specific data governance tool expertise, but practical/hands-on experience with data governance tool is nice to have.
- Excellent consulting skills, including the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and present information professionally to stakeholders and executives.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring deliverables are complete, error-free, and ready for executive review.
- Ability to develop clear, impactful presentation decks and documentation for internal audiences.
- Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively within a project team, leveraging internal resources as needed.
