Who You’ll Work With
As a Security Architecture & Engineering Domain Leader, you will partner with CISOs, CTOs, and senior technology executives to define and deliver strategies that build secure, resilient, and scalable technology environments. You’ll lead engagements across secure architecture design, cloud security, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, application and business app security, and security monitoring. This role blends strategic leadership and hands-on expertise—shaping security transformation roadmaps while ensuring pragmatic, measurable results for clients. You will also play a key role in practice growth, leading pursuits, shaping solutions, and mentoring teams in delivery excellence. We are hiring at the Senior Principal level.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $153,000 to $237,000. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You’ll Do
- Partner with CISOs, CTOs, and technology leaders to design and deliver enterprise security strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Lead sales pursuits by shaping proposals, solutioning, and serving as the security SME across secure architecture, cloud, and application security.
- Assess current-state security capabilities, including architecture, tools, operating models, and maturity levels.
- Design and implement security architectures for applications, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networks, and endpoints.
- Define and mature vulnerability management, penetration testing, and DevSecOps enablement programs.
- Advise clients on secure development practices and application security across both custom-built and SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow).
- Support the design and deployment of security monitoring and detection capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops, executive briefings, and design sessions to align stakeholders on priorities and roadmaps.
- Mentor and guide consulting teams to deliver high-quality work, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Contribute to internal practice development, accelerators, and thought leadership in Security Architecture & Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or technology consulting, with a focus on hands-on solution design and strategy.
- Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or HITRUST.
- Deep expertise across multiple areas: secure architecture, cloud security, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, application and SaaS security, pen testing, security monitoring, network/endpoint security.
- Experience embedding security in cloud-native, agile, and DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP) and securing business applications.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect security outcomes to business value and risk reduction.
- Prior experience mentoring and growing high-performing security consulting teams.
