The Business Analyst will bring strong generalist skills, technical aptitude, and foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments, can document processes, figure things out independently, and drive clarity across complex initiatives. The Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders to elicit requirements, analyze workflows, and translate business needs into actionable technical specifications, ensuring successful delivery of technology and AI-enabled solutions.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $65 to $85/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You’ll Do
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews to capture business needs.
- Translate requirements into clear documentation (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Validate requirements with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with solution architects and developers to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Understand and articulate AI concepts (e.g., machine learning basics, generative AI use cases) and their impact on business processes.
- Assist in evaluating AI tools and platforms for suitability and integration.
- Problem-Solving & Ambiguity Management
- Navigate unclear or evolving requirements; proactively identify gaps and propose solutions.
- Research and synthesize information to clarify objectives and constraints.
- Document findings and decisions in a structured, accessible format.
- Project Support
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and testing activities.
- Track progress, manage dependencies, and escalate risks/issues as needed.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in technology-driven projects.
- Strong technical aptitude; ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and integrations.
- Familiarity with AI concepts and emerging technologies.
- Excellent documentation skills (process flows, requirements, user stories).
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments; ability to self-direct and figure things out.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with AI/ML projects, data analysis, or automation initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI services.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Comfortable interfacing with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Passionate about leveraging AI to drive business value.
