The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will support large‑scale technology and organizational transformation initiatives. This consultant will design and deliver learning strategies, curricula, and enablement solutions aligned to software development lifecycle (SDLC) builds, platform modernization, and technical transformation programs.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of instructional design, change enablement, and technical acumen, with experience translating complex technical concepts into role‑based, practical learning experiences for diverse stakeholder groups.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with program, product, engineering, and change leaders to develop learning strategies that support SDLC implementations and technology transformation initiatives
  • Conduct learning needs assessments tied to new systems, tools, platforms, and ways of working
  • Design and develop role‑based learning assets, including:
    • Instructor‑led and virtual training
    • E‑learning and microlearning content
    • Job aids, playbooks, and reference materials
  • Translate technical concepts (e.g., SDLC processes, DevOps practices, platform changes) into clear, consumable learning experiences
  • Support learning deployment, facilitation, and adoption measurement across impacted teams
  • Collaborate closely with change management, communications, and delivery teams to ensure learning aligns to broader transformation goals
  • Track learning effectiveness and continuously iterate based on feedback and program outcomes
What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, or enablement, ideally within consulting or complex enterprise environments
  • Hands‑on experience supporting technology transformations, SDLC implementations, or large system builds
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Comfortable working independently and with a team
  • Experience supporting software development, DevOps, cloud, or platform modernization programs
  • Familiarity with change management principles and adoption measurement
  • Experience developing learning for highly regulated or risk‑sensitive environments
  • Consulting background supporting cross‑functional client teams

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $62 to $74/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
