Migration sits at the core of this work—enabling organizations to move confidently from legacy systems to modern platforms while ensuring data integrity, business continuity, and long-term value realization.
Our Migration team combines strategy, frameworks, accelerators, and deep technical expertise to meet clients where they are and guide them forward. We design and deliver migration solutions that build trust in modern systems, strengthen data confidence, and accelerate transformation outcomes.
We are seeking a Migration Leader to drive complex, large-scale data and content migration initiatives for our clients. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, enterprise applications, and delivery leadership. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who has repeatedly delivered successful data and content migrations and knows how to balance technical rigor with business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
Sales Solutioning
- Develop migration go-to-market assets that enable sellers, educate account teams, and strengthen pursuit responses
- Partner in sales cycles with Slalom teams and prospective clients to articulate migration strategy, differentiate our approach, and define accurate scope and implementation estimates
- Define and lead migration strategies aligned to business goals, application roadmaps, and enterprise transformation initiatives (ERP, CRM, cloud, data platforms, M&A, etc.)
- Assess legacy data landscapes, including data quality, risks, and dependencies, to shape optimal migration approaches (e.g., big bang, phased, hybrid)
- Partner with client stakeholders to define migration scope, success criteria, governance models, and operating frameworks
- Drive thought leadership by developing accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets (e.g., white papers, POVs, sales collateral) to support pursuits and delivery
- Design end-to-end migration architectures, including source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, validation frameworks, and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with data engineering, application, integration, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing migration solutions
- Establish and enforce standards for data quality, metadata, lineage, and controls across the migration lifecycle
- Own delivery of migration programs from planning through execution, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization
- Build and structure high-performing delivery teams, aligning the right skills to project needs
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, testers, and functional SMEs
- Manage program plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets across multiple workstreams
- Ensure rigorous testing (unit, system, UAT, mock conversions) and seamless cutover execution
- Serve as the primary client point of contact for the migration workstream, ensuring alignment, transparency, and delivery excellence
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing challenges and driving resolution
- Ensure solutions align with leading practices, client requirements, and available tools and technologies
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues and conflicts to keep programs on track
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, IT leaders, and business stakeholders
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights, impacts, and decisions
- Lead governance forums, executive communications, and status reporting with clarity and confidence
- Define and evolve the Enterprise Migration capability strategy, including development of standards, frameworks, and accelerators
- Partner with other Enterprise capability teams to create integrated migration approaches across platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Anaplan)
- Own the overall health, growth, and maturity of the Migration capability
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and leadership
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team environment that drives innovation and delivery excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience leading data migration and large-scale data transformation initiatives, preferably in a consulting environment
- Proven success partnering with executive stakeholders and navigating complex client environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern data ecosystems
- Deep expertise migrating data and content into enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, or industry-specific systems)
- Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end migration programs—from strategy and design through build, testing, and deployment—while guiding cross-functional, global teams
- Strong foundation in data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT, data modeling, pipeline design, cloud data platforms, and performance optimization
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and influence diverse stakeholders
- Working knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory considerations
- Experience supporting M&A integrations, system consolidations, or large-scale platform modernization efforts
- Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models in complex program environments
- Experience leveraging AI tools or developing accelerators to enhance delivery efficiency and innovation
- A passion for migration work and a belief in its power to unlock meaningful business value
- Forward-thinking mindset with an interest in evolving migration approaches through emerging technologies, including AI
- Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client and project needs
- Clients trust you to own their most complex data and content challenges

- San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester:
- Director: $228,000-265,000
- All other locations:
- Director: $219,000-258,000
