We are seeking a Birmingham-based Client Partner to join our team, supporting our accounts across a variety of industries and portfolios. The main responsibilities of a Client Partner are growing Slalom’s business at the designated account(s), developing, maintaining and expanding client relationships, delivering outcome-based solutions, leading/coaching teams, driving sales, and account management. You will be responsible for growing the client account, including revenue, margin, and customers across all geographies.
What You’ll Do
Business Development
• Demonstrate deep understanding of your clients’ business, industry, and strategic priorities through ongoing research and preparation
• Act as a primary Slalom representative for both new and prospective clients in the Birmingham area
• Host or facilitate Slalom marketing events
• Proactively invest time and energy in how you show up with clients, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and confident in Slalom as a long-term partner
• Bring the right Slalom leaders, practitioners, and partners into conversations at the right time to maximize client outcomes
• Has driven proposals and partnered with cross-functional pursuit teams to develop and execute on sales strategy
• Has consistently led the successful negotiation and closing of opportunities
• Maintain visible executive presence with clients beyond active delivery, reinforcing long term partnership and continuity
• Build and execute strategies to develop business within existing and new clients
• Build and manage a $4-6M+ portfolio across a mix of industries and portfolios
• Be responsible for achieving and maintaining client satisfaction
Solution Development and Oversight:
• Proactively partner with internal teams to shape high impact solutions that address client challenges and create new opportunities
• Lead the conversion of solution ideas into qualified opportunities, coordinating pursuit strategy and value proposition development
Team Leadership:
• Orchestrate and build pursuit teams to solve clients’ business problems, and lead teams through deal close with a high degree of collaboration and motivation
• Lead engagements and project teams, delivering complex solutions
• Contribute to project delivery
• Collaborate with other Client Partners, Sales team members and practitioners to develop and deliver business
What You’ll Bring
Account Leadership:
• Proven experience growing and leading client accounts within the consulting industry
• Has collaborated with Sales Executives to create and execute against account plans
• Relevant experience managing to utilization targets
• Hands-on contract negotiation experience with NDA’s, MSA’s, & SOW’s.
• Experience leading teams, building community, and helping grow and expand a client portfolio
• Experience managing the performance of individual consultants, either direct reports and/or as members of project team
• Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Leverage your Alabama-based network across various segments and clients
• Superlative writing skills & deep experience with creating highly polished content for client executives
• Deep experience with oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all sold/managed engagements
Executive Presence & Communication:
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate, present, and tell compelling stories that influence senior client stakeholders
Capability or Functional Expertise:
• Ability to apply personal expertise (e.g., digital commerce, data & analytics, cloud, transformation, or industry-specific domains) to shape solutions and outcomes, guide teams, and build client confidence
Alliance & Partner Led Growth:
• Understanding of partner led sales motions, with the ability to drive pipeline and revenue through ecosystem relationships
Client Relationship Management:
• Track record of building and deepening client relationships across all levels of an organization over time
Team Leadership and Management:
• 10+ years’ of experience leading and managing teams across the full project lifecycle within an IT services or consulting environment, including managing a large account or multiple accounts
• Experience delivering as a consultant, balancing leadership of large-scale transformational programs with hands-on individual contribution
• Exhibits a relentless drive to realize goals and deliver excellent outcomes across complex engagements
• Responds to critical escalated issues, resolves competing priorities, and drives alignment across teams

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position $180k - 220k. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
