Client & Market Leadership:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping data strategies and roadmaps.
  • Represent Slalom in the market through speaking engagements, client workshops, and industry events.

Client Delivery Responsibilities

    • Guide teams in assessing current-state client environments and defining scalable, future-state architectures.
    • Oversee the implementation of production-grade data platforms, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Engagement Management:
    • Drive client engagement from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment to business goals and technical excellence.
    • Balance architectural leadership with hands-on involvement, stepping in to resolve technical challenges as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Quality & Excellence:
    • Ensure delivery excellence by setting and upholding standards for architecture, engineering, and project execution.
    • Promote the use of AI-accelerated tools and automation to drive efficiency, scalability, and quality.
    • Maintain a primary focus on data platforms, pipelines, and architecture, with minimal emphasis on BI/reporting.

What You’ll Bring

With a strong foundation in modern cloud data platforms, you thrive at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and client engagement. You are energized by leading high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and ensuring exceptional client outcomes.

As a Director at Slalom, you will play a critical role in advancing our data engineering and architecture capabilities—enabling clients to unlock transformative value from their data. You’ll bring your previous experience to make an impact in this space, including:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in technical leadership and team management roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
