Our work powers everything from smarter CRM experiences and next-gen commerce sites to resilient case management systems and optimized workforce planning.
But we're not just technologists—we’re strategic enablers. Whether helping a client modernize their infrastructure, integrate mission-critical functions, or activate AI-powered innovation, we connect strategy to execution in ways that drive measurable impact.
Here, you’ll collaborate with curious, courageous people who believe in growth through experimentation, delivering value through partnerships, and building a future where technology works quietly in service of extraordinary outcomes.
Title: Director, Composable DXP Leader, Market Solutions
Who You’ll Work With:
Slalom's Composable Platforms practice helps enterprise clients build modern digital experience platforms with Contentful, Next.js, Vercel, Algolia, and Bynder. We're a team of strategists, architects, and engineers across North America, backed by deep partnerships with the platforms partnerships.
As a Director on our Market Solutions track, you'll work alongside the practice's senior leadership to grow the business. You'll partner with market sales teams, industry leaders, and alliance teams across Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, and Google. This is a go-to-market leadership role. You'll spend most of your time shaping pursuits, building partner pipeline, and creating the offerings the practice sells, with the rest in billable solution-lead roles that keep your expertise sharp.
What You’ll Do:
- Support sales activities for composable platform engagements. You'll carry a personal revenue contribution target and own a portfolio of pursuits as the solution lead.
- Shape opportunities with market sales teams: discovery conversations, solution design, estimation, proposal development, and orals.
- Support go-to-market motions with our platform partners, especially Contentful, Vercel, Algolia, and Bynder. Partner-sourced pipeline is a core expectation of this role.
- Create and refresh offerings: the accelerators, reference architectures, and sales enablement materials that make our pursuits repeatable and profitable.
- Serve in billable engagement roles (solution lead, oversight, architecture advisory) at roughly 45% utilization, staying credible with clients and current with the platforms.
- Advise client executives on platform strategy: headless CMS architecture, composable commerce, API-first design, and where AI fits in the digital experience stack. You'll be the person who can explain the trade-offs between build paths in language a CMO and a CTO both trust.
- Publish and speak. Conference talks, partner events, webinars, and written points of view that build the practice's reputation and generate inbound demand.
- Develop people. You'll have direct reports and will mentor solution leads across the practice on outcome-based selling, ROI storytelling, and pursuit craft.
What You'll Bring:
- You've led solutuion-building for digital platform or experience work at a large consultancy or a digital agency, ideally one in the Contentful partner ecosystem. You know how partner co-selling actually works: the field alignment, the deal registration, the joint account planning.
- A track record of personal sales contribution in professional services. You've sourced, shaped, and closed seven-figure engagements, not just delivered them.
- Deep, current expertise in composable architecture: headless CMS (Contentful preferred), modern front ends (Next.js or similar), edge and serverless deployment (Vercel or similar), search (Algolia or similar), and DAM (Bynder or similar).
- Platform certifications. Contentful certification is strongly preferred. Certifications across the rest of the stack (Vercel, Algolia, Bynder) or a major cloud provider tell us you take the craft seriously.
- You can run a technical pursuit end to end: discovery, architecture point of view, delivery model, team shape, estimate, and commercial structure.
- Executive presence with both business and engineering audiences. You can hold a room of client VPs in the morning and pressure-test an architecture with senior engineers in the afternoon.
- Experience managing and growing senior technical talent in a consulting environment.
- Comfort context-switching across pre-sales, billable delivery, partner management, and thought leadership in the same week.
Consulting Expectations:
- Commercial accountability: Own your sales contribution target and the health of your pursuit portfolio. Know your numbers.
- Executive presence: Inspire confidence with senior client stakeholders, articulate a platform vision, and drive decisions.
- Delivery credibility: When you're in a billable role, the work is excellent. Your delivery reputation is what makes your sales conversations easy.
- Collaborative leadership: Build a high-performance culture across the practice and with peers in other capabilities.
- Thought leadership: Represent Slalom externally and contribute to our communities of practice.
- Location
- Flexible hybrid within North America.
Travel:
- Travel may be required up to 25% based on client needs.
