Who You’ll Work With
Slalom is seeking a Global Director for Enterprise Architecture to support our Salesforce partnership and join our global capabilities team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven, seasoned technical leader to help design and lead a team of individuals who design innovative ways to accelerate the growth of our rapidly growing business. Working with local markets, this team of technical and enterprise architects have an amazing opportunity to elevate the way Slalom goes to market and deliver world-class solutions that leverage a wide variety of enterprise platforms and technologies.
We are looking for an experienced global technical leader who can bring strategic and innovative thinking along with a seasoned approach to connecting technologies. As a progressive leader, you will focus on the growth and success of our global enterprise architecture team. You will provide thought leadership to our enterprise clients, set strategic direction for Salesforce practitioners, and generally be accountable for overseeing the overall quality execution of business and technology consulting across all Salesforce engagements that this team engages.
As a practice lead for Salesforce enterprise architecture, you are responsible for making sure our customers achieve their strategic objectives through the proper technology systems architecture. We expect for you, and your team, to be able to conduct enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation, using a comprehensive approach for the successful development and execution of strategy; including leading a team of enterprise architects that have these same skillsets. Having broad experience across many enterprise technology platforms, you will be supporting our sales teams in developing Salesforce value propositions that align with our customers’ business strategies on digital transformation and cloud adoption.
Your leadership of a team of enterprise architects will assist Slalom in determining the best approach and offer a perspective in how to approach multi-cloud architecture across multiple platforms and domains. You will aide sale teams in developing value propositions that align with a customer’s business and technical strategies. Your team will consist of the subject matter experts of multiple technology platforms with experience developing, architecting, and building the most in-depth portions of the platform in Salesforce. Your team will support the enablement programs and approaches for cross-cloud Salesforce architecture with an emphasis on driving best practices in both selling and delivery cycles. You will also drive best practices, process, and enablement for Salesforce core offerings from a technical perspective while collaborating with our markets, go-to-market team, and delivery excellence leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Accountability for growing the Global Salesforce Enterprise Architecture capability, including driving sales, recruiting, talent enablement, people/career management, best practices, technical solutioning, thought leadership and project staffing.
- Manage strategic project engagement risk, project economics/budget, project outcomes, and buy-in of proposed solutions from executive, client management.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for large, complex deliveries; drive conversations with our customer's enterprise architects and business stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as security, performance, development process, and application governance.
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
- Identify opportunities for growth and maturation of Salesforce enterprise and technical architecture offerings.
- Provide oversight and governance of sold and managed Salesforce projects where enterprise architects are staffed.
- Drive business development with the proper information, tools, and subject matter expertise to sell engagements within the offering.
- Build and develop relationships/partnerships with local market teams, aligning on sales pursuits, resource capacity and capabilities, and awareness across the region.
- Build and develop relationships with Salesforce and own joint sales pursuits.
- Develop or support the development and delivery of best practices, delivery templates, and point-of-view papers.
- Help define and manage the career development plan and program for technical resources to progress from solution/technical architects through enterprise architecture.
- Help manage the continued growth, enablement, and direction of Salesforce C360 solutions for seamless data integration and cross-cloud architecture solutions.
- 40-60% target utilization at enterprise client account depending on role.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in a large consulting environment, filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior technical resources.
- 4+ years of cross-domain and integration experience with cloud native and on-prem systems and services such as ERP, MDM, CDP, PIM, DAM, CMS, and Analytics
- Experience supporting modern web and mobile clients, and developer ecosystems
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience leading solution designers and developers on complex, large-scale projects
- 6+ years of experience architecting on the Salesforce core tech stack and recommending effective use of technology, including cloud technologies
- Deep experience with business development skills, including managing and developing relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Deep experience with business operations (e.g.,writing contacts, managing revenue/margin, tracking utilization, staffing resources on optimal roles, and forecasting)
- Deep experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; expert at project delivery, including all aspects of program management and the SDLC
- Expert verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
- Excellent mentoring and leadership skills
- Able to travel up to 50%(post-COVID)

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for the Director role is $219,000 to $267,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
