Benefits Coordinator

Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day aspects of benefit administration. Acts as the back-up to the HR Generalist.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates Degree in business or related field. Bachelor Degree in HR preferred.

Experience: One to three years of HR experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Functions:

A: Job Specific:

• Researches and responds to employee inquiries.
• Processes benefit enrollments and updates/maintains benefits in ADP and associated provider systems.
• Assists with the coordination of open enrollment and initial benefit enrollment.
• Processes monthly employee benefit billings.
• Provides first line support for all benefit and disability queries.
• Acts as a back-up for payroll processing.
• Assists with the coordination of the Wellness program.
• Enrolls eligible participants into the cobra benefits program, and ensures insurance premiums are collected and processed in a timely manner.
• Monitors premiums and tracks appropriate administration of benefits.
