What You'll Be Doing:

You'll create an industry leader customer service experience as the first line of contact when customers walk into the branch. A simple greeting and a warm smile to our customers will be a great way for them to start the day! Travel Tellers are granted the opportunity to become acclimated with different branches as they provide support to different locations when there is a need. While working in the role, your position will include an array of duties such as:
  • Receiving and paying out cash or other disbursements.
  • Traveling to designated branches based on staffing and scheduling needs performing required senior teller duties and responsibilities.
  • Cashing checks, accepting account deposits and withdrawals.
  • Accepting loan and credit card payments, issuing money orders and Connections cards.
  • May serve as the vault teller or teller mentor, or may also serve as back up to branch service supervisor or relationship banker.
Throughout the day, you will follow Synovus' customer service standards to build rapport and develop high touch service as you get to know your customers. Skills/Experience You'll Need:
  • Two (2) years of Teller Experience OR
    • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience that comprises a minimum of (1) year of Teller experience combined with Retail/ Sales or Customer Service experience and/or college/vocational schooling.
  • Ability to stand on feet for a long period of time and lift object up to 10 lbs. in weight.
  • Knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures and federal bank regulations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
