Job Description:
Truist Securities’ Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets (IGDCM) Analyst Program begins with up to seven weeks of classroom instruction that consists of an introduction to capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems and financial modeling training designed to give Analysts all the tools they will need to be successful. After the classroom training, Analysts join the IGDCM product group and play a meaningful role in supporting senior investment banking professionals.
The Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets Analyst program provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of disciplines within investment banking and capital markets. Analysts will sharpen financial analysis skills, develop an understanding of corporate markets and clients, and gain experience in corporate finance and with investment banking products through on-the-job training. Within each group, Analysts play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients.
Assignments will be within the Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets group, with the opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank.
Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets:
An IGDCM analyst supports senior bankers in the origination and execution of bond and bank market financings for investment grade corporations and financial institutions. The analyst develops financial models, relative value analyses, presentation materials and new issue pricing indications for current and prospective clients. Immediately upon joining the team, an IG analyst works closely with bankers and product partners throughout Truist over the entire transaction lifecycle.
The Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets Analyst position is typically a two-year position. At the end of the two-year period, Analysts may be asked to remain in the role for an additional year.
Location:
Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices throughout the U.S. in cities including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.
The majority of IGDCM Analysts are placed in Atlanta, GA.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation of December 2024 or May/June 2025
- Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
- Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
Preferred Requirements:
- Business major
- Overall GPA of 3.0
- Strong interest in finance and investment banking
- Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework
- High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement
- Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
