This role is office centric in Charlotte, NC. Requirement to be in office four days per week.The Insights Consultant will play a pivotal role in bridging data-driven insights and strategies to support the bank’s growth and communication efforts regarding Consumer and Small Business Banking performance. This role focuses on analyzing internal and external data, generating actionable thematic performance insights for leadership, and creating compelling narratives for leaders, teammates, and stakeholders. The consultant will work closely with executive leadership to develop data-informed internal and external presentations and monitor trends in client behavior, market dynamics, and competitive performance.

1. Data Analysis and Insights Generation:
o Analyze financial performance, market trends, and internal data assets to generate insights that inform both strategic decisions and stakeholder communications.
o Monitor investment analyst feedback to highlight key themes and actionable recommendations.
2. Narratives and Communication:
o Assist in preparing quarterly earnings packages, investor presentations, and other communication materials working closely with Truist’s Investor Relations and Communications teams to effectively convey the bank’s financial performance and strategic vision through a Consumer and Small Business Banking lens.
o Lead line of business pre-earnings and post-earnings routines including the dissemination of relative-performance assessments to CSBB Senior Leaders and key leaders across the business.
o Support line of business planning and execution of stakeholder events, including roadshows, shareholder meetings, and analyst days.
3. Line of Business Collaboration:
o Partner with executive leadership and Consumer and Small Business Banking Senior Leaders to create clear, data-driven internal and external presentations for board discussions and internal/external engagements.
o Provide tailored insights and analysis to support leadership’s narrative during investor interactions. Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all leadership presentations.
4. Cross-Enterprise Collaboration:
o Collaborate with Truist Finance Officers, Economists, and peers in Wholesale Banking experts to incorporate economic insights, business forecasts and performance into executive presentations. Stay abreast of economic and regulatory changes impacting the banking sector.
o Work closely with the Investor Relations team to ensure alignment between Consumer and Small Business Banking data insights and the bank’s messaging for shareholders and analysts.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (e.g. Economics, Finance, Business Management), or equivalent education and related training
7-10 years of experience in data analysis, investor relations, consulting or a related field within the financial or banking sector
Ability to perform effectively in a rapid-pace environment and successfully address multiple, high-priority matters with autonomy
Exceptional ability to partner and collaborate with various stakeholders including executive management, senior leaders, and partners in a complex, matrixed environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely while inspiring large teams and effectively influencing internal and external audiences
Executive-level of business acumen across consumer banking, small business banking, or digital banking with working knowledge of bank financials and performance measurement
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a business-related field (e.g. Economics, Finance, Business Management), or equivalent education and related training
10+ years investor relations, equities management, or strategic finance
Management experience at large, top-tier consulting firm
