Responsible for leading HHG an industry-specific national sales group within the Mid-Corporate Banking segment (client revenue: $500MM - $2B) with accountability for the overall performance of an industry-specific sales practice to include the balance sheet, P&L and overall risk management. Drives the overall growth and expansion of an industry-specific sales practice in alignment with Wholesale and Mid-Corporate strategy. Demonstrated ability to lead a national, geographically disbursed sales team in providing strategic advisory advice to complex client base and prospects within a specific industry-focused client group.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop the vision, strategy, and targeted client/prospect selection for the industry-specific sales group.
2. Assumes overall responsibility for sales management, credit and risk accountability for the industry-specific sales team, optimizing resources and tools to enable the sales team and driving a sales culture where goals and expectations are clear, and teammates are held accountable for results. Responsible for meeting loan, deposit, capital markets and fee-based revenue expectations.
3. Build, lead and train a high-performance team that can achieve the goals of the business. This includes hiring the right talent and setting goals and clear objectives across the industry-specific business to develop new client relationships and improve overall market share.
4. Drives synergies and partnerships between the Wholesale LOBs that interact with the industry-specific clients. This includes deeper partnerships between CIB, CRE, CCB and PWM and collaboration between geography and industry to bring the broad expertise to the clients and a differentiated experience.
5. Manage the P&L of the business as well as other major financial elements including risk tolerance, balance sheet usage, credit quality, and pricing.
6. Continually evaluate the industry-specific business against the changing competitive landscape and the objectives of Truist and Wholesale; engage with internal/external key partners to identify and launch new products and capabilities that will differentiate Truist and ensure we are fully serving our client needs.
7. Interact with the most important and crucial clients; partner with the sales team and act as a senior banker and industry consultant on the most important industry-specific deals.
8. Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that enhance the performance of Truist’s business.
9. Ensure that the business operates in a safe and sound way in accordance with all regulations and firm policies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
2. 10+ years of experience in financial services, with specific focus within an industry-specific lending group; must possess strong capital markets and corporate finance skills given the size and complexity of the client base.
3. FINRA licenses required or the ability to attain within 120 days of start date.
4. Must have depth and breadth of knowledge in an industry-specific group with strong industry-specific knowledge and connectivity or ability to quickly understand the industry and the critical drivers of the business.
5. Strong understanding of industry-specific operations and systems to include audit, closing, servicing and credit policy; strong credit and capital structure knowledge with familiarity and experience with banking regulations.
6. Proven ability in leading geographically distributed sales teams that manage large and complex industry-specific relationships.
7. Proficient in building high performance teams with strong talent and creating a culture where sales performance expectations are clear and results are high; exhibits the ability to understand what motivates and drives team behaviors and demonstrates a talent growth mindset that enables the team to demonstrate differentiated strategic advice to clients.
8. Ability to influence up, down and sideways with key partners to inspire the team to collectively bring the vast capabilities of Truist to clients; proactively creates new solutions and builds infrastructure that will better enable the team to meet client needs and provide the best overall client experience.
9. Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills, with the proven ability to interact effectively and present information to C-Suite clients and internal executive leadership team.
10. Ability to manage the industry-specific business to plan/budget and manage the balance sheet.
11. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (e.g. Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and general understanding of sales management software products (e.g. Salesforce).
