The Investment Analyst helps develop and provide recommendations for the firm’s overall investment outlook, including capital market forecasts, strategic and tactical asset allocation guidance/management and portfolio construction solutions that supports $300 Billion of assets under advisement for private and institutional clients.Work with senior members of the team on the development of capital market assumptions and strategic portfolios as well as contributing to tactical portfolios/guidance.
Support senior member of the team in development of asset allocation and portfolio construction recommendations using quantitative and qualitative research and analysis; conduct research studies incorporating long-term and short-term themes and market dynamics.
Create and maintain research frameworks and models for the coverage and recommendations of specific equity, fixed income, and non-traditional asset classes and strategies. Ongoing evaluation of investable asset class coverage, portfolio analysis, and actionable IAG portfolio ideas.
Work alongside portfolio construction and manager due diligence teammates to conduct qualitative and quantitative (ratio, risk and performance analyses) manager analysis to make manager recommendations for strategy portfolios.
Contributes to communicating IAG’s investment outlook through written publications. Write or co-author timely asset class articles and topical papers consistent with overall strategy.
Actively contribute and participate in strategy meetings with supporting documentation and rationale.
Ongoing support and presentations to advisors relating to macro trends, investment strategy, portfolio construction process and custom analysis.
Travels up to 10% of the time delivering investment delivering market strategy and IAG capability presentations, for client events, public events, panels and business development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, or economics. 5-7 years of macro, asset allocation, portfolio construction and/or related experience Broad knowledge of global macro, investment and market-related concepts Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills Exceptional level of skill in use of MS Office Excel and PowerPoint Travel up 10% of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong academic pedigree, e.g., MBA, PhD &/or other post-graduate degree from top-tier academic institutions CFA Charterholder or other relevant designations 7+ years of macro, asset allocation, portfolio construction and/or related experience Prior experience in writing and presenting on macro strategy, asset allocation, and investments Ability to translate complex analytical information into understandable terms for investment advisors, clients and other audiences Experience with investment research tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, Thompson One, and Haver Analytics and highly skilled in MS Office PowerPoint and Excel
