In this role, you will drive high impact engineering initiatives that shape the technology direction across our entire organization. You’ll take ownership of complex, system wide components and lead strategy, architecture, and execution for major projects and cross functional teams.

You’ll champion modern engineering practices, cloud native architectures, and DevSecOps principles to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. Your work will directly influence our engineering culture and help accelerate how we design, build, and deliver technology across the enterprise.

Success in this role requires a solid understanding of Agile delivery models, including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS. You should also bring detailed knowledge of modern engineering practices—ranging from CI/CD automation and automated testing to cloud computing across platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile and collaboration tools, including Jira, Rally, and Confluence, is essential for navigating team workflows and driving effective communication

Location: This is a full-time, onsite position (5 days per week) based in Atlanta, GA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Serve as a key contributor to major initiatives, ensuring strong alignment between business goals, technical strategy, and execution.

  • Lead modernization efforts across the organization, including cloud adoption, microservices architecture, automation, and advanced engineering frameworks.

  • Troubleshoot and solve highly complex technical challenges, providing expert consultation and recommending actionable solutions.

  • Navigate cross‑team dependencies, remove roadblocks, and optimize delivery pipelines to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.

  • Ensure all work adheres to Truist SDLC standards, secure coding practices, and relevant regulatory and industry requirements.

  • Work with minimal supervision while mentoring and coaching teams on Agile, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.

  • Influence initiative‑level decisions and help shape long‑term technology roadmaps and architectural direction.

  • Support knowledge transfer by sharing expertise in Agile methodologies, emerging technologies, and modern development practices.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through data‑driven insights, metrics, and KPIs that guide better decision‑making.

Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree and related training or experience, including experience in a Scrum Master role

  • Seven+ years of professional experience, two+ years of experience working on or with agile teams, three+ years in a delivery role (developer, tester, architect, BA, business owner, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies

  • Detailed knowledge of several IT and non-IT/Agile skills and tools and their application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Computer Science, Math or related field of study

  • Subject Matter Expertise in a specific Segment/LOB/Function such as a Technical SME

  • Experience in the banking industry

  • SAFe Certification a plus

  • MBA a plus

  • Occasional travel is required
