The IT Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Hosting Services platform by enabling effective planning across systems, platforms, and infrastructure. This role drives compliance and modernization initiatives ahead of risk materialization and ensures ongoing adherence to enterprise standards across the platform. Responsibilities include technology assessments, cross team coordination, and alignment with enterprise policies and the delivery lifecycle to ensure the platform remains well planned, managed, and compliant.Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Application Teams:
Collaborate with application owners and technical teams to assess current state environments and identify upgrade or migration requirements for operating systems and databases.
• Plan and Coordinate Critical Platform Work:
Partner with sponsors, platform and product owners, application teams, operations, and engineering teams to support initiatives that enhance and modernize Hosting Services platforms.
• Execute Against Plans:
Drive execution against established roadmaps, ensuring activities progress in alignment with documented plans, timelines, and objectives.
• Risk, Issue, and Decision Management:
Identify, document, and manage risks, issues, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies; escalate as appropriate.
• Cross Team Coordination:
Work across Infrastructure, Security, Database, and Application Technical Management teams to identify and help remove delivery obstacles and ensure successful outcomes.
• Communication and Reporting:
Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and stakeholder communications to maintain transparency and alignment across business and technical stakeholders.
• Standards and Compliance Support:
Ensure Hosting Services activities comply with technology lifecycle management standards, procedures, and controls; proactively identify and escalate risks or non compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participate with peer groups to identify, document and communicate project needs.
2. Work closely with project stakeholders to understand project processes and strategies. Ensure all stakeholders are involved in requirements gathering activities.
3. Establish project requirements using business process and workflow analysis.
4. Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and/or technical requirements.
5. Participate in or facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs.
6. Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
7. Request infrastructure diagrams in accordance to business process and workflow.
8. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business process owners and other stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria and a plan to facilitate user acceptance testing of a solution that meets the business requirements.
9. Attend project status meetings and provide regular updates to the project teams through regular presentations, status reports and meeting minutes.
10. Develop understanding of core systems, applications and technical platforms.
11. Observe strict adherence to all Technology and Truist policies and standards (e.g. Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change Management, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree in Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Two years of information technology experience with significant experience in software development
3. Two years of experience as a business analyst or related role/experience, with experience in one or more of the following areas: Project Management, Business Process Management Relationship Management, Business Operations, or Quality Management
4. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
5. Experience with traditional Waterfall SDLC and/or Agile/Lean methodologies work requests/project requirements
6. Strong presentation, verbal and written skills
7. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
8. Ability to effectively interface with staff at all levels
9. Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment
10. Strong ability to resolve conflicts, excellent facilitation and organizational skills
11. Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
12. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
13. Knowledgeable of core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
