Job Description

U.S. Bancorp Asset Management (USBAM) and PFM Asset Management (PFMAM) are separately registered SEC investment advisors providing investment management services to institutional investors that include corporations, non-profits, and public sector entities. USBAM’s core strength and focus is on managing investment grade fixed income strategies, with more than $166 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2023. PFMAM offers a variety of investment solutions including liquidity management, investment grade fixed income, and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) with more than $214 billion in assets under administration as of June 30, 2023.

What you’ll do:

As a PFMAM Analyst in the Investment Analytics group, you are a critical part of our team, who ultimately serve a broad base of clients. Each analyst will achieve a solid foundation for a meaningful and growth-oriented career within the firm; many of our managers and directors have started their careers as successful analysts.

Asset Management Programs are set out to achieve results-driven goals; they have a strong focus on meeting clients’ needs, with diverse roles broadly focused on quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, strategy research, presentations and reporting, data management, and client service and transactions across key investment entities.

As a PFMAM Analyst, you may embark on:

  • Performing capital market and economic research and analyses.
  • Review prospect and client information for development, implementation, and monitoring of new and/or revised products/services.
  • Providing detailed investment portfolio reporting focusing on key portfolio statistics, performance, and positioning given current market conditions.
  • Compiling and analyzing information for an assigned project or area and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Building and developing tools in support of investment analytics and reporting.
  • Acting as a project liaison with other departments.

Who we’re looking for:

Are you an analytical individual who loves to use numbers to understand the root-cause of an issue or to provide recommendations? Do you find fulfillment in using qualitative and quantitative analysis or financial modeling to tell a story? If you have skills in business management, communications and problem-solving, with interests in consulting and investment management, then the PFMAM Analyst position may be right for you!

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date
  • Basic understanding of financial terms, concepts, and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in finance, consulting and/or investment management
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, flexible attitude and a desire to pitch in wherever needed
  • Developed problem solving skills and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges
  • Outstanding teamwork and project execution skills with multitasking capability
  • Unwavering integrity and ethics
  • Proficient in Office 365, with strong skills in Excel

Working model and hours:

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Investment Analytics Group members work approximately 40-hours each week in this fulltime role.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $56,950.00 - $67,000.00 - $73,700.00
