Job Description
We are currently seeking a Data Scientist for our OR& A team. This role will be a critical member of the development team responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of standardized reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data acquisition.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop a suite of actionable reports and visualizations in Power BI.
Assist peers and internal customers in the development of their visualizations with drill through data in Power BI
Aid in the modernization of our core reporting processes to support improved business performance, automation, and more advanced information analysis.
Perform active analysis of data sets and sources to ensure accuracy and consistency of presented reports.
Collaborates with various partners to prioritize requests/needs and provide a holistic view of the analysis.
Ensures all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong background in SSMS and Power BI, including DAX code. SSRS experience also preferred.
Experience telling visual stories with data.
Strong analytical skills, with a strong preference for candidates with math, science, or engineering educational background, and/or professional experience specifically in a data analytics or reporting role.
Experience working with complex data structures
Experience working in operational reporting or analytics in a banking or financial services field strongly prefer
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience
Two to four years of relevant experience
