Job Description

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. In office days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

We are hiring an Accountant that maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions. Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. Prepares financial statements and reports. Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities. Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Job Highlights

  • Part of the Complex Global team acting as a sub custodian for partner bank in Ireland.

  • Reconciles general ledger transactions but does not post to general ledger.

  • Daily deadlines to meet starting at 7am.

  • Research based, handling regulatory reporting.

  • Supports wealth management, corporate trust customers.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Three to four years of experience in financial accounting activities

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications including proficiency in Excel
- Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations
- Advanced knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
