Job Description

The Impact Finance Data Management Team (DMT) is tasked with building out line of business reporting data governance procedures, centralizing, and resourcing immediate data reporting and analytics needs, and assessing and defining the team's future organizational and operating state.

As a Business Transformation Data Management Team member, the Data Analyst (DA) has financial data analytics, data governance, and project management expertise/experience. The DA will assist the Data Management team with the requirements gathering, access control management, project implementation, and training (community of practice) to contribute toward the success of our reporting, analytics, and governance initiatives. DA will be the connection point between the DM team and the business area(s).

The DA will partner with the business line to develop requirements. Works with the DMT to create functional designs. Participates in testing, training, and implementation of reports and dashboards. Analyzes and evaluates user needs.

Develops and maintains a complete and accurate understanding of how a business unit impacted by an assigned application conducts its business. Assists in developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the business's current technology and infrastructure from a functional perspective. Helps business lines in using the Tableau dashboarding capabilities. Works with internal business groups to document, analyze, and redesign business processes. Partners with business representatives to identify, refine, and document detailed business needs. Joins clients and technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve application problems related to system functions. It may be the point of contact for user support and problem-solving. Occasionally manages small projects. Frequently interfaces with business lines, including management and internal resources, to ensure quality, timeliness, and testing of all project/release work.

Works with technology and application development teams to design functional solutions that meet business needs appropriately. Reviews, coordinates, and executes test plans for multiple projects and ensures that test cases and results meet requirements.

The DA will also manage the access control for the tools the DMT uses, managing and renewing the credentials, troubleshooting, and granting access per Business Line needs. Along with this, the DA will also manage the internal training & certification program. DA will build and maintain the training & certification program. They will also own the corporate branding for reports and dashboards.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Working experience in: IT environment; Information management; IT project management; Product and vendor evaluation
  • Proficient dynamic facilitation skills for various audiences
  • Ability to set and meet goals and action plans
  • Ability to interpret data to create actionable training plans based on insights
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • System testing, system development life cycle, IT standards, procedures, policy
  • Business assessment, business process modeling
  • Modeling: data, process, events, objects;
  • Subject matter expert in requirements analysis, workflow analysis

Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $95,285.00 - $112,100.00 - $123,310.00Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
