U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - ICS Credit Card Processing Systems in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer - ICS Credit Card Processing Systems will be responsible for: staying up to date with the credit card industry regulations and compliance by applying needed fixes and enhancements to the application using COBOL, CICS, VSAM and DB2; reviewing the daily transaction decisioning application stats for any discrepancy in approving or declining the U.S. Bank credit cards; keeping up with the changing card brand rules and regulations, like Visa, MasterCard and American express; checking for fraud and potential risks; run SAS and REXX reports to understand the deviation in the regular pattern and address them accordingly; perform root cause analysis for the failures that had occurred in the application and provide a permanent solution; ensuring compliance with industry regulations, such as PCI-DSS and company policies; collaborating with the downstream teams to resolve credit card disputes and chargebacks; identify opportunities to optimize transaction decision process. Develop and implement the code artifact thru GITLAB, JENKINS to improve application efficiency; staying current with industry trends and advancements in payment technology; support audit and compliance requests; analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvements; and continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of decisioning strategies and rules. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems plus 5 years of progressive post-graduate experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Lead.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with all of the following: designing and developing software systems; developing business requirements and functional specifications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2; developing enhancements and system documentation using COBOL, CICS, and DB2; integrating new modules with existing systems; defining test data for integration testing and carrying out system study/functional set-up of various modules using VSAM and DB2 IMS; performing end to end testing in the Mainframe environment before production deployment; customizing applications/reports and implementation of business models using REXX; SQL queries to extract data; debugging tools to fix production issues; JAVA; SOAP; REST services; and Agile.
Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $110,033.00 - $144,400.00 (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
