Job Description

The Head of Workplace Inclusion & Belonging is a senior enterprise leader responsible for developing, executing, and managing bold, future-forward strategies that embeds inclusion into the fabric of our organization. This will include leading enterprise-wide workforce engagement strategies and initiatives that activate our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and hub/ market leadership teams to drive employee inclusion and belonging, aligning these efforts with business strategies and community impact plans. This new role reports into our Chief Community Impact & Inclusion Officer and is a part of our Human Resources & Community senior leadership team and function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define, deploy, and activate enterprise-wide inclusive culture strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate growth and business objectives, and talent priorities.

  • Serve as a visible executive leader across the organization—engaging directly with employees, hub/ market leaders, and senior executives to champion inclusion.

  • Partner with the Human Resources & Community team and business leaders across the organization to embed inclusion into talent, leadership, and business strategies.

Business Resource Group Activation

  • Oversee the governance and day-to-day management of our BRGs, fully leveraging them as strategic levers for employee engagement and leadership activation, while driving business results.

  • Develop and activate enterprise employee volunteerism strategy in alignment with Community Possible pillars and integration with Development Network (DN) chapters and Lines of Business.

  • Refresh BRG charters, infrastructure, and tools to support these efforts in alignment with the business strategy.

Hub and Market Engagement

  • Develop and activate inclusion strategies across our footprint, focusing on hubs and client centers, ensuring local relevance and alignment with enterprise goals. Develop similar approach for segment of remote workforce.

  • Serve as a connector between the enterprise strategy and local execution, enabling hub/ market leaders to drive inclusive impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to set a compelling vision and translate it into actionable strategies that align with enterprise goals and drive measurable impact across our employee base.

Leadership & Team Empowerment

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams, inspiring action, and cultivating inclusive leadership behaviors at all levels of the organization.

Influence & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Exceptional ability to influence without authority, build coalitions, and foster trust with senior leaders, employee groups, and external partners.

Executive Presence and Storytelling

  • Demonstrated storytelling to inspire others in a variety of settings including employee meetings, executive settings, as well as internal and external public speaking engagements.

Data Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Skilled in leveraging data to inform strategy, measure outcomes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Master’s Degree preferred

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Inclusion, or another employee focused field

  • Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise-wide inclusion strategies aligned with business goals

  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams and business leaders to embed inclusion into core people and business strategies

  • Ability to navigate and influence across diverse teams and geographies, including local, hub market leaders and key stakeholders

  • Experience leading and advising teams who oversee BRGs including governance, leadership development, and alignment with business strategy

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage and inspire diverse audiences, from frontline employees to senior executives

  • Familiarity with engagement dashboards, talent metrics, and workforce analytics is a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
