Job Description

An expert professional that works independently and can also coach other professionals. This position works with teams across EACX (Enterprise Analytics and Customer Experience) to help migrate analytics use cases to cloud. The role will be providing expertise and consultation on cloud tools, solutions, best practices and patterns that can be used for each situation and help with governance of the cloud solutions.

This position will be consulting with users to help build solutions that use Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ETL/ ELT and Azure ML. The current use cases are on prem and need to migrate include data mining, data auditing, aggregation, validation and reconciliation and use tools like SAS, Alteryx, Power Bi.

In addition to familiarity with the tools and understanding of the workflows in Marketing departments as well as a deep understanding of Banking data will be necessary to be successful in this role. This position typically requires an individual with a degree and 10+ years of statistics or analytics experience.

The person in this role will spend about 50-60% of their time collaborating with teams across EACX. They will develop a deep understanding of their data and business needs to support their migration efforts to the cloud as well as clearing roadblocks or evangelizing best practices and preferred patterns to ensure project success. About 30% of the time would be in development and monitoring of governance/ data quality efforts to ensure success in the shared cloud environments. An additional 10% of the time would be spent understanding and prioritizing the intake and backlog.

This role will also play an active role with data engineers, analysts, and business line product owners in the business line ensuring the critical data is available and reliable in the proper platforms with clear SLAs.

Key deliverables for the role are:

  • Relationship Management of stakeholders to ensure on-prem use cases are successfully migrated to the cloud using the tools available.

  • Developing and advising stakeholders on setup, training, best practices, documentation, meta data, as well as getting access to necessary tools/information to execute.

  • Removing roadblocks as well as coaching stakeholders to overcome roadblocks to successfully execute cloud migration.

  • Participate in the buildout of the reporting and technology infrastructure required to support the governance of the end products and solutions.

  • Play an active role with TOS engineers to ensure critical data is available, with quality in the proper platforms with clear SLAs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of statistical and/or data analytics experience

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with programming languages & tools such as Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, ADF, Azure Synapse, Azure ML

  • Familiarity with SAS, Alteryx, PowerBi, Marketing workflows as well as banking datasets will be necessary to support the user community

  • 10 plus years relevant experience in analysis, reporting and data visualization

  • Experience with at least 1 modern visualization tool (ex. PowerBI, Tableau, Microstratetgy 10, Domo)

  • Experience leveraging tools for basic last mile ETL and data wrangling

  • Knowledge of data quality

  • Extensive experience with standard relational databases (DB2, Postgres, Greenplum, SQL Server, Azure)

  • Experience with GitHub a plus.

  • Strong communication skills to support business consulting and collaboration with business partners

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience working in an agile environment

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
