Job Description
The Senior Change Management Director serves as a strategic leader driving the adoption and enablement of Operations initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring successful adoption and seamless integration of automation and AI capabilities across a diverse set of divisions within Operations. This role partners closely with enterprise partners, including technology, AI CoE, and others to ensure that organizational readiness, communication, and engagement strategies enable successful delivery and sustained value realization.
Accountable for designing and executing change management frameworks to accelerate adoption of new operating models, automation platforms, and AI capabilities. They will lead a team responsible for stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, coordinating communications, and enablement to ensure that employees at all levels understand, embrace, and champion new ways of working.
Responsible for partnering with executives and their leadership teams on change management initiatives that directly contribute to the key Operations priorities to ensure appropriate adoption. This function will create change management strategies based on assessment of the impact of the change and impacted work groups. Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders influencing decisions in line with business unit and enterprise strategy. Shares appropriate industry and company analyses to achieve strategic insight. Builds end to end engagement plans with deliverables/dates that enable change and increase knowledge as well as build adoption. Helps leaders understand how change initiatives may intersect to increase opportunities to connect the dots for target audiences independently. Ensures communications are appropriately executed and teams have materials necessary for desired adoption. Directly or indirectly manages a team responsible for building engagement plans and communications.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically 12 or more years of experience, including leadership of large, complex programs/initiatives with high impact with direct and indirect leadership responsibilities
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Ability to lead and connect change management initiatives across Operational business areas
- Technically proficient in change management strategies, building engagement or change management plans
- Ability to influence leaders to create plans that increase adoption results to meet desired outcomes
- Areas of expertise include relationship management, executive communication, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution
Key Focus Areas:
- Change impact assessments and mitigation planning
- Leadership alignment and stakeholder engagement
- End-to-end communication and enablement strategy
- Integration of change management into program delivery and operational excellence frameworks
- Measurement of adoption, performance, and sustained behavior change
- Serving as a center of excellence by establishing reusable toolkits to be leveraged within the Operations divisions for initiatives that may not require dedicated change management support
- Championing the use of AI capabilities and understanding how to best position the organization for the future
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
