Job Description

Our Branch & Small Business Banking group operates a branch network encompassing approximately 2,200 retail branches across 26 states. With more than 11,000 employees and a global footprint, branch banking meets the financial needs of our customers directly or through bank partner referrals.

The Branch Banking Market Leader reports directly to the Branch & Small Business Regional Executive and is responsible for all consumer sales activities within the specific market. This individual leads a large team responsible for sales activities in retail branch offices for assigned market. In addition, this leader is responsible for executing the strategic market review, facilitating analytical research, driving action thru adjacent business partners where applicable and executing strategies to enhance digital adoption across the customer base. This leader must be customer obsessed, foster a team culture that is customer obsessed and embrace the One US Bank culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize business growth strategies to achieve assigned financial targets and growth goals
  • Actively lead individual direct reports to optimal performance through a commitment to strong coaching routines and excellent coaching techniques; provide direct feedback to leaders while holding them accountable to business targets and people-leader goals
  • Enable and inspire leaders to the highest standards of execution, driving consistency, problem solving and sound decision making while setting a clear team vision
  • Build strong, effective partnerships with colleagues across the enterprise to work together and collaboratively remove roadblocks for success


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years successful progressive experience in financial services, retail or related customer centric industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience building, motivating, and coaching a successful team of sales leaders
  • 5+ years of strategic planning and effective execution
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Individual must be present in the market and engaging with employees and customers on a regular basis.
  • Must be actively engaged in the community through participation in civic and/or charitable organizations, community development projects or initiatives.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $238,765.00 - $280,900.00
