Job Description

A visionary and execution minded leader to shape the future of AI across Operations. This person will define the Operations AI strategy, guide its delivery in partnership with product and technology, and establish governance routines that ensure AI is deployed responsibly, efficiently, and at scale. The ideal candidate will connect strategy to execution - identifying high impact AI opportunities, tracking progress and outcomes, and designing repeatable approval and oversight mechanisms that balance innovation with compliance and risk management. This person will work closely with senior leaders to ensure the strategy is connected to divisional goals and considers the dynamic pace of innovation in the marketplace.

  • Define and continuously evolve the Operations AI strategy aligned with divisional objectives and enterprise goals
  • Partners with product, technology, and operational leaders to identify high value AI opportunities and ensure a balanced portfolio of near-term and long-term initiatives
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, business outcomes, and success metrics
  • Facilitate prioritization and investment discussions across senior leadership to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Accountable for driving execution and building momentum to achieve and exceed Operational goals
  • Establish and operationalize a repeatable AI governance framework that balances innovation with risk, compliance, and ethical use of AI
  • Develop approval workflows and decision-making routines for AI use cases, including intake, review, and sign off processes
  • Partner closely with enterprise partners to align with emerging regulatory requirement and industry best practices

Basic Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically 12 or more years of experience, including leadership of large, complex programs/initiatives with high impact with direct and indirect leadership responsibilities

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Ability to lead and execute on large initiatives spanning a line of business
- Technically proficient in portfolio management, financial/budget management, roadmap planning
- Executive communication and reporting skills
- Areas of expertise include relationship management, executive communication, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution

- Experience collaborating across teams and influencing outcomes

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
