Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Data Architect with relational database and logical/physical database modeling experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
Design and builds relational database models and define data requirements to meet the business requirements.
Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of databases.
Write scripts and commands for data manipulation.
Plan and conduct database unit and system tests, monitors results, and takes corrective action. Monitor and resolve database performance, database capacity, data integrity and replication issues. Assure integrity of data, software, and hardware; develops policies and procedures related to development and support of new and ongoing systems.
Provide technical consulting to application development teams during application design and development for highly complex or critical projects.
Ensure compliance with the organization's database standards.
Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 6 years experience with design, development and support of database management systems.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data modeling.
Hands on experience in Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
Experience in MS SQL Server database and Oracle database technologies is a big plus.
Experience working on AWS Cloud database technologies is required.
Demonstrated prior software development experience in Agile and Scrum
Experience in Payment Services, Financial Services, or regulated domains is a big plus.
Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Excellent communication, presentation, and thought leadership skills.
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
