Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Systems Architect in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Job Duties: The Systems Architect will be responsible for design, development and implementation of data structures to Essbase REST APIs, focusing on multiple technology disciplines, platforms and applications. Additional responsibilities include the following: Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Analyze, design and develop a new class library project using .Net Standard 2.0 (C#) for the existing EPC and BiTab applications to integrate with new Essbase RestAPI. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Implement unit testing project using xUnit and create a new repository in GIT for versioning the class library project. Implement build/release pipelines for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) using GitLab to deploy the changes to On-Prem servers. Create a NuGet package and deploy it into Jfrog artifactory to reference it from other existing applications using NuGet package manager. Create epics, stories, tasks, and sub-tasks using JIRA software for tracking the development activities. Integrate the project with multiple scanning tools (Sonarqube, Fortify, Black Duck) to maintain the quality of coding standards and work on bug fixing and error handling. Play a key role as an individual contributor on complex projects and maintain an excellent functional understanding of the supported applications. Evaluate and understand complex interrelationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications and platforms. Perform multiple code and design reviews throughout the development life cycle. Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Provide highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist business units in meeting strategic objectives. Maintain a good understanding of the business being supported and its functions, process, operations and strategic direction. Communicate with technology manager on timelines and outcomes of initiatives/project undertakings in the team. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Basic Qualifications:

Requirements: Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Consultant, or related.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience with each of the following: analyzing, designing and developing new functionalities using .Net Core to meet business needs and reducing business-operating costs; migrating applications from .Net Framework to .Net Core and .Net Standard; designing and developing applications using .Net MVC, .Net Core (REST API), SQL and Oracle databases; implementing unit test projects using xUnit .Net Framework; developing automated unit test cases for verifying developed functionalities; implementing data driven and event driven solutions for business needs; bug fixing; performing code and design reviews to maintain industrial coding standards; performing CI/CD pipeline setup using Azure DevOps and GitLab for automated deployments; restructuring data structures using JSON, SQL, PLSQL, Oracle, LINQ and Toad; and the following tools and technologies: MVC, SQL Server, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Waterfall Software Development, SDLC, REST API. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
