Job Description
This leader is responsible for driving innovative new product solutions and capabilities across our entire product portfolio to empower our customers, drive revenue and increase efficiency. The executive will articulate trends, pain points and performance relative to benchmarks, customer and prospect insights, and the strategy for initiatives to improve our market position, customer satisfaction and loyalty.
This will span across our Payments, Consumer and Small Business (PCS) line of business, and include the U.S. Bank Brand, our Elan agent FI business, and our co-brand/partner businesses. Additionally, this executive will be the primary point of contact for critical strategic initiatives, provide leadership for critical cross business initiatives and partner with multiple delivery teams to bring to market customer-focused, newsworthy, profitable, and differentiated new and refreshed product value propositions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and lead a multi-faceted growth strategy effectively and efficiently, with the right balance of customer-focus, innovation, and profitability
- Serve as the ‘Thought Leader’ around consumer insights and competitive trends associated with credit cards, as well as marketing positioning and packaging
- Have a keen understanding of underlying business drivers, with the ability to drive strategy in partnership with other executive line of businesses & operations functions
- Prioritize and drive our product investments and results through annual plans and tracked results / performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of banking or financial services experience
- 5+ years of management experience
- BA in Finance, Business Administration, or related
- MBA/Masters preferred in Finance, Business Administration, or related
- Seasoned executive with strategic management skills and consistent growth in card management, product development, and P&L responsibilities
- Customer focus with demonstrated creative thinking and innovation in the financial services space
- Credit card partnership experience (in the retail co-brand space) is highly valued
- Well-developed strategic management skills while demonstrating consistent growth in responsibilities and accomplishments
- Executive presence and polished written & oral presentation skills
- Ability to facilitate, document, and explain strategy to diverse audiences, from technology to business leaders and from executives to staff in a highly matrixed organization
- Well-rounded risk leadership – someone who has considerable tact, diplomacy, and team building skills
- Experience working in agile product delivery and with design thinking practice

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
