Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant Level 3 to join our Corporate Accounting function. This role is a key member of the Accounting Close and Consolidation team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for a large, publicly traded financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Support consolidation activities across multiple legal entities and business lines.

  • Assist with internal and external reporting requirements, including SEC filings and regulatory submissions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and consistency across the organization.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in accounting processes, leveraging tools such as Workday and emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent work experience

  • Four or more years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate areas or public accounting

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems.

  • Familiarity with AI tools or automation technologies in accounting (preferred).

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $71,400.00 - $84,000.00
