  • Responsible for leading a Payroll Processing team focused on payroll preparation and production including regular pay, retro pay, final pay for terminated employees, ACH adjustments, off cycle payments, adjustments, reversals and other pay-related tasks.
  • Manages the timely and accurate payroll for up to 65,000 U.S. Bank employees who work in the United States and Canada
  • Supervise and develop a team of 6–8 Payroll Specialists, including selection, training, coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations
  • Monitor adherence to departmental procedures, company policies, and wage/hour guidelines.
  • Review exception and audit reports, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4–6 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • CPP/FPC certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Workday HCM and Payroll.
  • Experience streamlining processes including identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing changes focused on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to customer service.

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $71,400.00 - $84,000.00
