Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee partner-based co-branded credit card acquisition for one of US Bank’s new strategic partnerships – one of our largest. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in payments, strong partner management skills, and a passion for delivering best-in-class customer experiences.

This person will work with USB colleagues, and the cobrand partner to build the strategy and roadmap to acquire new cardmembers profitably and at scale. They will identify, size, and prioritize new strategies, capabilities, and campaigns to drive growth by attracting new applicants and driving conversion in partner digital channels.

They should have strong knowledge of entire funnel with proven success leading campaigns to drive prospects to conversion. This person will also work with internal stakeholders and the partner to create solutions to increase approval rates for applicants.

The role requires experience in customer acquisition in credit cards, including targeting, testing, digital marketing, creative, and media execution. They will be the key relationship leader with the partner for acquisition, responsible for maximizing USB results while meeting needs of the partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and execution to grow acquisitions for partner-based and co-branded credit card portfolios
  • Manage high-performing teams and build new internal capabilities to drive growth, test and learn
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless integration and data share
  • Monitor product performance and customer experience to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
  • Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on strategic goals
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of product management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in payments and banking, including consumer and partner-facing roles

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in financial services, banking, or credit card issuer.
  • Exceptional influencer with a track record of creating and executing strategies with and through internal and external stakeholders
  • Expertise in developing full funnel acquisition programs, including targeting, creative, offers, conversion, approval and early engagement
  • Track record of effectively managing high stakes credit card partnerships in a cobrand B2B2C environment
  • Deep understanding of digital payments, financial services innovation, and regulatory environments
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Cobrand card partner relationship management
  • Acquisition marketing in digital channels
  • Performance marketing; ability to maximize digital channel growth
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to understand and use data
  • Innovation and bias to test/ experiment
  • Compliance and risk management
  • Cross-functional leadership and collaboration

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
