Job Overview

The Servicing Support Associate supports the Loss Mitigation function by reviewing and validating borrower documentation related to mortgage payment assistance requests. This role plays a critical quality control function, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of sensitive financial documentation reviewed by offshore teams. The position operates in a high‑volume, SLA‑driven environment and requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate loss mitigation documentation submitted by borrowers, including but not limited to:
    • Bank statements
    • Pay stubs
    • Credit reports
    • Mortgage applications
    • Income documentation and borrower identifiers
  • Perform quality control auditing of work completed by offshore evaluators, ensuring accuracy, adherence to guidelines, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Process and review a high daily volume of files (approximately 80–155 files per day) while maintaining quality and meeting service‑level agreements (SLAs).
  • Enter, track, and maintain accurate data and records within internal systems and reporting tools.
  • Assist with report writing, tracking, and compilation to support operational reporting and audit readiness.
  • Serve as an escalation point when discrepancies or issues are identified, partnering with internal business lines and third‑party vendors as needed.
  • Handle sensitive personal and financial information with discretion, professionalism, and strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years of experience in administrative support activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Prior experience in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, or financial document review.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or errors in documentation.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and comfort asking questions to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, SLA‑driven environment with frequent priority shifts.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Familiarity with high‑volume operational or production‑based roles.

Location Expectations:

The role offers a hybrid schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week in our Rider City, MO or Lunken Operations Center, OH hub locations.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.50
