Job Description
This senior level Insights and Reporting Analyst is responsible for driving the development, automation, analytical loss mitigation insights and delivery of high-impact analytics and reporting solutions in support of U.S. Bank’s mortgage servicing organization. This position is dedicated to building robust, scalable reporting frameworks and generating actionable insights that empower operational decision-making, enhance risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance across servicing and default operations.
Emphasis is placed on modernizing analytics capabilities, workflow automation, and translating complex data into clear, strategic directions. This role requires a hands-on technical manager with strong analytics skills and experience in implementing innovative data solutions. The leader is expected to guide teams in developing and modernizing analytics tools, focusing on the integrity, scalability, and business relevance of all reporting outputs.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
Key Responsibilities & Skillsets
Lead and oversee the development of production reporting and advanced analytics, leveraging deep SQL expertise, managing sophisticated data transformations, and ensuring the quality and validity of large, complex datasets.
Design, build, and automate end-to-end reporting pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern platforms, with an emphasis on reducing manual processes and improving accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data delivery.
Deliver clear, decision-ready analytical insights with Power BI and/or Tableau, transforming complex data and trends into concise, strategic business narratives.
Apply advanced data modeling and analytical judgment to fulfill operational, risk, and regulatory requirements, supporting all facets of servicing analytics.
Implement robust data quality controls and audit-ready designs, collaborating closely with risk, compliance, and data governance partners to uphold data integrity and reporting standards.
Mentor and develop analytics talent, setting high standards for code quality, automation, and analytical excellence within the team.
Demonstrate strong leadership in guiding the analytics teams through regulated and evolving environments, setting vision, and consistently delivering high-quality results.
Operate effectively at all organizational levels, balancing analytical rigor, risk awareness, and a strong commitment to execution and follow-through.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of data analysis experience with large data sets
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in SQL/WebFOCUS or other BI tool for querying data and for data manipulation/transformation
- Experience in financial services, with thorough knowledge of HR systems or financial services products, customers, transactions and interaction data
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret results for insights
- Ability to data mine, analyze data, and present insights in a meaningful way
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnership with Senior Business unit management, business partners and project sponsors, as well as communicate effectively with business, and development teams, end users, and product owners
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
