Job Description

U.S. Bancorp Asset Management, Inc. (USBAM) is an SEC-registered investment adviser providing investment advisory services across a diverse range of products, including registered investment companies, private funds, and separately managed accounts. As of September 30, 2025, USBAM manages more than $402 billion in assets across fixed income, OCIO, LGIPS, and fund strategies.

The Portfolio Analyst role sits within the Portfolio Administration team and plays a key role in daily account reconciliation, reporting, and client service support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a solid foundation in reconciliation, and well-developed analytical, technical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of accounts and cash balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies and overdrafts

  • Complete internal and external client requests and support the firm’s RFP processes

  • Produce ongoing and ad hoc reporting as needed

  • Establish new accounts, process account terminations, and manage asset transfers

  • Prepare and deliver customized client reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

  • Collaborate closely with custodians, trade support, portfolio managers, and client service teams to resolve issues and support operational processes

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically four or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred areas of study include Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field

  • Demonstrated understanding of investment concepts, portfolio accounting, security types, accruals, and the impact of transactions on performance

  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while also working independently to produce scheduled and ad hoc reports; capable of managing multiple priorities concurrently

  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to drive projects through to completion

  • Experience with trust and fiduciary systems, operations, and investment platforms

  • Familiarity with SS&C Sylvan and SS&C PORTIA strongly preferred; experience with Clearwater and Bloomberg is also highly desirable

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $66,640.00 - $78,400.00
