Job Description
- Lead the business development lifecycle – from originating, negotiating, and executing commercial deals with both emerging and leading technology companies, with specific focus and subject matter expertise across the payment infrastructure, fintechs and payments.
- Engage with the local and global technology and Fintech ecosystem, to identify potential partners, drive initial outreach, and lead or support commercial or strategic partnership opportunities.
- Develop and execute against tailored as well as standardized partnership frameworks, working closely with global and regional Visa product leaders, as well as back-office and appropriate internal stakeholders
- Co-develop go-to-market strategies, identify opportunities to deploy Visa products and solutions that can create win-win opportunities for Visa and its ecosystem.
- Provide support to local teams in negotiation and execution of commercial agreements with fintech clients.
- Serve as the key point-of-contact between the partner and internal teams stakeholders on active account discussions and for focus categories as a whole
- Establish, nurture, and expand the ecosystem relationships to drive increased preference for Visa products/solutions, including thought leadership efforts which may include publication or speaking opportunities.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/
MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years
of work experience with a PhD
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in working within the FinTech and/or
digital commerce sector.
• 10 years or more of experience, preferably in business development, product
development, partnership management, FinTech (or other startups).
• Ability to move quickly, at the speed with which startups operate, and transmit
speed to other teams.
• Resilient, capable of operating independently in an ambiguous environment,
with multiple clients and in a matrix organization.
• Deep thirst for winning business.
• Knowledge of the Fintech business, able to speak the language of Fintechs,
lenders, marketplaces and with the ability to understand their metrics and
concerns.
• Banking and FinTech regulatory knowledge
• Willingness to learn and ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate
through multiple disciplines and organizational groups.
• Team oriented, client-focused, collaborative, diplomatic, with an
entrepreneurial mindset, fearless and comfortable when it comes to
challenging the status quo.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 237,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
