We are searching for an enthusiastic individual for this position, someone who can work spontaneously, implement the latest technology and collaborate effectively with teams across the globe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, Linux administration, coding, and configuration management tools. He/she passionate about technology and thrive in a fast-pace and work effectively in collaborative environment.
The Work itself:
We are seeking a dedicated individual who will be responsible for Satellite infrastructure management, including automation and engineering activities.
The candidate should possess extensive knowledge on Satellite, automation tools like Ansible and should be capable of managing the Satellite infrastructure through GitOps technology.
Candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our infrastructure to move towards latest technology.
Candidate will work closely with various teams, including infrastructure, product development, security and Linux engineering.
Ability to understand and address the unique needs of each team will be crucial for success in this position.
Ensure high availability and performance of satellite infrastructures to meet or exceed our stringent SLA requirements.

Candidate should also demonstrate leadership abilities, taking the initiative to spearhead projects and drive them to successful completion.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience working as a platform engineer, automation Engineer or similar role.
• Extensive experience in Satellite infrastructure management along with Ansible, including playbooks development, roles and module usage.
• Solid understanding of devops principles and practices including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Google, Microsoft, and AWS.
• Programming Skills: Having programming skills in languages like Python, yaml , Go, or Java and scripting can be beneficial, especially for roles that involve developing applications that run on Kubernetes.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
