Job Description
Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) is a key portfolio within the Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS), that brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals, Treasury, and Governments. We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, Fintechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. VCS is the business unit responsible for growing all flows between businesses and governments from SMBs to the largest global corporates. The VCS PMO team has responsibility for supporting the Virtual & Payables, Data Solutions, Small Business and Large, Mid-Market verticals’ product strategy of VCS. The team works collaboratively with Product Development, Product Management, Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber-Security, Client services, and key enterprise teams, across both global and region stakeholders, ensuring collaboration, alignment, governance, execution, and delivery.
Technical Project Analyst for Visa Commercial Solutions will lead a Team of Teams (TofT) for one of VCS portfolios. A TofT typically comprises of 4-6 Agile teams. The ideal candidate will provide oversight and governance on delivery of all product and technology initiatives as well as collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless and timely planning, and execution. This role is critical for a successful delivery of the FY25 and beyond objectives and milestones for the product & technology roadmap in alignment with Visa’s 2030 strategy. The position requires an experienced professional with strong technical experience and skill sets who understands how to bring all the key technology and platform components and services together to make sure we can deliver scalable and robust products and solutions for VCS.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with Product & Technology leads to drive and ensure effective Quarterly Execution Planning (QEP) leveraging Jira Align as the Single Source of Truth.
- Help and facilitate prioritization of Epics and features that align to the program Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and available workforce capacity.
- Ensure effective preparation and participation of Team of Teams (TofT) in the Quarterly Execution Planning (QEP) activities within the TofT, collaborating with partners in Operations & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and other Visa Technology verticals.
- Ensure that the program and projects follow Visa's Agile Management Methodology (AM2)
- Learn and adopt Visa’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle Management (SSDLC), Golden Rules, release management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
- Provide quality, flow, developer productivity, persistency, category of spend, and value metrics-based reporting to all stakeholders, hold regular program-level ceremonies (Scrum of Scrums, Agile Release Train Sync, System Demos).
- Cultivate a mindset of rigorous planning & prioritizing while proactively identifying risks and dependencies to accelerate value realization.
- Manage cross-functional communications to maximize understanding, impact, and speed of change adoption.
- Ensure risks and dependencies that arise during quarterly execution are identified, communicated, negotiated and resolved with the dependent teams in a timely manner.
- Apply and analyze Visa’s agile performance metrics for the responsible TofT.
- Ensure that identified security vulnerabilities are addressed and remediated in a timely manner to prevent non-compliance. Ensure that exceptions are obtained in a timely manner and kept to a minimum.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
•Bachelors in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
•Overall, 6+years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years as an Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Scrum Master working with technical teams developing Enterprise class software applications.
•Proficient in at least one agile project management tool: Rally, Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, ServiceNow, Version One, etc.
•Strong written, oral and presentation skills with ability to negotiate and influence change
•Scaled Agile Certification (SAFe for Teams, Leading SAFe, Implementing SAFe, SAFe for Release Train Engineers)
•A very good understanding of Release Management practices, Agile techniques and best practices including but not limited to: Defining User Stories, Feature grooming, PI Planning, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, Automated Testing
