Job Description

Visa is seeking a Product Analyst who has a desire to shape the future of payment products. The selected candidate will join the Acceptance Policies and Solutions team that is responsible for forming and implementing buyer and seller strategies and policies globally. Within this team, the position will be focused on ‘authorization and network services,’ which largely consists of creating new products, services and policies that opens new payments acceptance channels, drives new payment volume growth, and upholds transaction integrity across the Visa network.

The Product Analyst will play a vital role in contributing to the successful evolution and growth of Visa’s Authorization Framework that is managed by the team. The role will involve collaboration across the organization to problem-solve and understand the consumer behavior driving payment decisions. After developing clear problem statements, the candidate will find a solution and identify economic or new product opportunities to solve the identified problems.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with team lead on evolving or developing policies, products and/or services that will drive new acceptance channels and payment volume growth.
  • Collaborate with product owners, sales, and business development teams to manage strategic partners, including building relationships to identify opportunities and pain points.
  • Analyze and collate data that present key insights that support narratives that will drive new policy or product innovation.
  • Create internal and external collateral, including best practice documentation, sales enablement assets, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams across Visa and present key insights and reports to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Gain expertise in discreet areas of responsibility, including authorization and transaction processing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn independently, quickly mastering new skills related to payment products.

This is a hybrid position. Expectations of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Previous experience in payment processing/product development role is beneficial.
  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking skills that demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work and collaborate on complex projects and business challenges through detailed analysis, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,600.00 to 166,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
