Job Description

Essential Functions


Design build and implement scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data from various sources.
Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI models for various applications, such as natural language processing (NLP) and other creative tasks.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
Responsible for Production development & Support (DevOPS) on payment system services handling Real time data.
Optimize data storage solutions, including databases, data lakes, and cloud-based storage systems.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows, architecture, and processes.
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Python or Java or Go development experience
Must have worked in Unix/Linux operating systems.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data architecture and pipeline design.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and services related to data storage and processing.
Experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
