Job Description
Visa Case Investigation and Enforcement (CIE), works with issuers, acquirers, processors and merchants worldwide to develop and deliver the support model for Visa Inc. This includes day-to-day operations and product support, back-office support and customer performance reporting, including Rules Management function which supports the structural foundation of the Visa Payments network.
Rules and Compliance team works to ensure the safety, security and integrity of the payment system and to support Visa clients in the development of their electronic payments business. Specifically, team establishes and enforces common interoperable rules and standards for our products and services by which clients must operate their Visa programs.

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Notification Process by initiating and monitoring notification notices in alignment with the regulatory and strategic compliance objectives of Visa and its Clients. These objectives are defined by the Visa Charter Documents, Visa Core Rules and Product and Service Rules, associated Supplemental Requirements.
The candidate must operate independently under moderate supervision and will influence other functions regarding practices, policies, and procedures related to rule compliance. The Analyst is primarily accountable for supporting the team’s initiatives and tasks across the LAC region, addressing all investigation and enforcements, potential violations, and other matters related to the Visa Rules. The candidate will manage internal and external relationships within the context of the Compliance Notification Process, escalating matters to CIE senior management where appropriate, with the objective of minimizing brand and reputational risk to the Visa enterprise.
The candidate will work on smaller projects under moderate supervision. While compliance issues are typically not highly complex, they may require an understanding of other operational areas and Visa Processing requirements. The role will engage with Visa staff and Clients to facilitate and ensure compliance with the Visa Rules.
Essential Functions
The Analyst will support the Compliance Notification Process by monitoring, investigating, and validating the compliance status of Clients. Where necessary, they will pursue corrective and negotiated actions with Clients to ensure adherence to the applicable rules and bring them into full compliance.
The role is responsible and accountable for:
- Ensure the initiation, monitoring, and tracking of all compliance notification notices that align with Visa’s regulatory and strategic objectives.
- Compile, analyze, and publish management information, statistics, performance criteria, and trends, ensuring feedback is provided to team members to help define Visa’s compliance strategy.
- Monitor, investigate, and validate client compliance with the Visa Rules, where necessary, pursue corrective or negotiated actions to bring clients into full compliance.
- Manage internal and external relationships within the context of compliance enforcement and processes, escalating issues to CIE senior management as appropriate to minimize brand and reputational risk.
- Participate in the development and execution of activities and programs designed to improve client and internal satisfaction.
- Support the development and implementation of departmental procedures, with a focus on the LAC region.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and other stakeholders in relation to CIE responsibilities.
- Participate in activities related to compliance inquiries, investigations, or action plans as required.
- Liaise with clients and Visa Sales Account Executives, Client Service Account Managers to ensure understanding of and compliance with the Visa Rules.
- Gather, analyze, and publish compliance-related statistics and performance trends, sharing results with team members to inform both global and regional compliance strategies.
- Take responsibility and accountability for executing CIE procedures, as developed and updated over time.
- Assist in defining annual objectives in alignment with the strategy set by the Senior Business Leader, CIE for LAC.
- Contribute to the creation of yearly strategies and plans to support relevant regions.
- Provide clients and staff with accurate interpretation and analysis of Visa Rules in response to investigations and enforcement actions and participate as a full team member on assigned projects.
- Prepare internal reports and support executive presentations and committees regarding CIE actions, initiatives, and achievements.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Fluent or Proficient in Spanish (spoken and written).
- Fully proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Copilot.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), multilingual capability is an advantage.
- Good writing, editorial and authoring skills to convey complex topics in Plain English and Plain Spanish

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 87,200.00 to 123,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
