Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to
• Responsible for the architecture, design, development and implementation of software applications.
• Execute data engineering projects working across multiple teams in high visibility roles.
• Work with large complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.
• Integrate datasets with data/metadata tools in the architecture.
• Complete data analytics projects involving data modeling and architecture.
• Perform database administration for data virtualization platform.
• Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies.
• Collaborate with product management / product owners to define user experience, demos and training.
• Contribute to project planning discussions, provide status updates for development progress and be a critical resource for issue resolution.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers that will manage large scale open source data platforms, develop tools, and fix bugs and issues that arise.
• Position reports to the Employer’s Atlanta, Georgia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field and 5 years of experience in a computer-related occupation.
  • Actimize AIS Objects.
  • Analytics Intelligence Server (AIS) and AIS Modeler, RCM (Risk Case Manager) and RCM Designer, and Actone.
  • Anti-money laundering and fraud solutions such as CDD, IFM, and/or SAM.
  • Developing the solution architecture, implementation, installations, configuration, and testing of the product for Risk and Compliance Solutions for financial institutions.

Additional Information

Worksite: Atlanta, GA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $142,002.00 USD to $196,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
